This film (below) is the first in a series of six films entitled Logic Lane (click on the box of text above for an overview of the whole series: we’ve recently posted other episodes in the series–on the topic of freedom, on Oxford philosophy in the 1930s, and on the philosophy of mind). This first episode is a retrospective by Alfred Ayer of the development of philosophy in Oxford from the 1930s to 1972 (excerpts are included from some of the other films in the series).
