Upcoming symposium at PAL: “Reading after the Hermeneutics of Suspicion”

We’ve recently learned that the Center for Philosophy, Arts, and Literature (otherwise known as PAL) at Duke University will host, this September, a timely one-day symposium entitled “Beyond Critique: Reading after the Hermeneutics of Suspicion.” Below is the initial announcement for this event. A symposium followed by a reception in Duke’s Rare Book Room in Perkins library from 2p.m. – 6:30p.m. Speakers include: Rita Felski (English, University of Virginia Charlottesville), Sharon Marcus (English, Columbia), Stephen Best (English, Berkeley), Katherine Hayles (Literature and English, Duke). Respondent: Toril Moi (Literature, Duke).
