New book: Susan Wolf’s Princeton Tanner Lectures

Susan Wolf‘s Princeton Tanner Lectures — entitled Meaning in Life: and Why It Matters — have just been published by Princeton University Press, and I wanted to let our readers know. The volume includes the responses given by John Koethe, Robert M. Adams, Nomy Arpaly, and Jonathan Haidt (I haven’t yet had a chance to read Wolf’s two lectures, but I did read John Koethe’s response just before the event, and I recommend it highly: it’s a wonderful meditation on the implications of Wolf’s views about “meaningful lives” for those who devote their lives to creating art [and for those of you who don’t know, John is not only a philosopher, but a poet: for more on his poetry, click here]). To visit PUP’s webpage for the book, please click here. To see a Google Books preview of the volume, click here.
