As some of you already know, William Day (Philosophy, Le Moyne College) put together a terrific year-long series of events for the 2009-2010 academic year, devoted to the work of Stanley Cavell. The Cavelleria Siracusa, as this series is called, will soon be coming to a close, with a cluster of exciting talks, film screenings, and symposia that will take place between Wednesday, April 14, and Sunday, April 18.
Below is the poster for the events that are scheduled for April 14 and 15. As you can see, Steven Affeldt, Norton Batkin, Nancy Bauer, Victor Krebs, and William Rothman will all be there. It’s sure to be a special couple of days for anyone who cares about Cavell’s work, so if you live within driving distance of Syracuse, New York, do consider coming to it (all the events are free and open to the public).
To learn what events will take place on April 16-18 (all focused on the art of film), please see the schedule posted on the website of Le Moyne College’s Department of Philosophy, by clicking here (and then scroll down).
