Laura Quinney (English, Brandeis University) has organized a one-day conference on “Proust and Philosophy” that we thought our readers — especially those who live in the Boston area — would like to know about. Directions to Newhouse Humanities Center, 2nd floor, Green Hall, Wellesley College:
1) By public transportation: Take the Framinghham/Worcester commuter line from South Station, get off at Wellesley Square, go west on Main St. (away from town), walk a long block, and enter the main gates of Wellesley on your left, head for the tallest Gothic tower on campus, which is Green Hall.
2) by Wellesley-MIT shuttle: get off at the Davis Museum, go under the Museum arch, go straight across the quad and enter the main door of Green Hall, go up one flight and turn left.
3) by car: enter the main gates of Wellesley off Main St, follow signs and park in the Davis parking lot. On the bottom floor of the parking lot is a campus police office. Go in and have the police give you a map and directions.
